Have you ever seen a chicken move?

When I was little, my grandmother had this crock pot. I happened to look inside and in it I saw a piece of cooked chicken. I saw the chicken move. Please don't tell me it was my imagination. I quickly put the lid back on that pot. To my knowledge, my grandmother has the same pot now. I am 29 now. It happened when I was like 5 or 6 years old. To this day, I am scared to look in that same pot!

I think what happened was it moved in pot due to cooking or the water that was in crock pot moving it. I am sure she would never of put an alive chicken in there. Once they loose their head they run around for a few minutes and then die. I highly doubt your grandmother put the chicken in the crock pot with it's head on either.

They had a documentary on TV about chickens and the process to get chicken legs etc etc. They cut the heads off of the chicken and they run around for a few minutes till they die. Yes I am very serious on this. I always laughed when they used the line "your running around like a chicken with it's head cut off."

I've seen chickens run without a head before. When I was a child my father used to keep chickens and about once a month one of them would end up being cooked for sunday roast so seeing a chicken running without it's head was normal at my place. It's just something to do with the nerves. Having said that, there is no way that a cooked chicken would have been moving by itself, more likely the juice underneath was bubbling and caused the movement.
