I have a cat and we used to wash her when she was younger, although she always refuse and made it looks like a punishment that she get washed. So do you wash ur cats? I heard someone use blind fold on cats so they wont get too scared, but that did not work on my cat and my cat have bitted my mom once because she was too scared of the water XD

i only wash mine when absolutely needed.
i had a cat who played in the garbage, and coated himself with coffee grounds.it was definetly bath time.
but i have a separate sprayer attachment just for that-it doesn't make much noise, and they don't seem to be scared of it.
2 of my older ones actually liked being bathed.i think it warmed their old bones for them :)

You really don't need to wash a cat unless they get into something wet or messy that they cannot clean themselves. Cats are made to be what we call self-groomers. It means they keep themselves clean without human interaction. They don't like water much and do see it as punishment. It stresses them out more than helps them.

You can buy scented pet wipes and use them to help if she smells. It will be easier on her than washing her with water.

The only time i've ever washed a cat is if they were injured and it was vets orders. or if they were for some reason covered in poop or mud or something. Every time i've done it i've used a wash cloth and just "sponge bathed" the cat rather than submersing him in water
