what is freelancer?

i am responding late, but hope this will be helpful to you. The above post describes exactly what freelancing means. The word 'freelance' simply means self-employed. You can be a freelance graphic designer, a freelance photographer, a freelance writer - they just mean you've chosen to be self-employed in your field of interest. Freelance writing is where you source your own paying work in your own way. You could choose to write for magazines, write online, write poetry or fiction stories or novels - it makes no difference WHAT you write. If you're freelance, it's your business so it's all up to you.
