Hello everyone I just wanted to get the world's opinion on how they feel Starbucks prices their coffee. Do you really think it is worth paying 4 dollars for a large cup of coffee when you can buy a whole jar for that much at a grocery store? Is the extra flavoring they use really worth that much money? If you feel Starbucks is priced well explain why you think so? If you dont feel Starbucks is worth all the money for that one cup of coffee explain why you think so?

I use to think Starbucks was expensive, but after going to other coffee shops, their prices are comparable. The service is good and they offer alot of choices. Would I go spend 4.00 for a cup of coffee everyday? No. But I use this as my treat when I am out shopping for one reason or the other. I fill in with my own machine at home.

In think there prices are like the quality of there coffee and flovored syrup. CRAPPY! I prefer to make my coffee at home put it in a mug and take it with me. If i buy somewhere i prefer the ma and pa shops rather than the large chain stores. They care more for the customers.

Starbucks - compairable to others. I understand your thoughts when you say you can buy a jar of coffee for the same price as the cup, but there is a lot more involved when you are getting that cup of coffee. Starbucks has to pay for equipment, salarys, buildings, etc. Its the same as going out to eat. At home you can make a grilled cheese for a dollar. Get it at a resturant your going to pay 3 or 4 dollars. I love there coffee because my stomach can handel it. (damm I feel old saying that lol) I can't go to a gas station and get a flavored coffee it makes me sick litteraly. But I can drink a starbucks all day long. Starbucks isn't a place I go every day but I do go at least once a week.

Well being that i have only been to Starbucks a few times. But the times that i went, you know the things in there were kinda pricey. But it was for my mother, and i would spend my last for her. But its not a place where i would stop at to eat or drink on a regular basis thats for sure. I guess its ok when you would like a nice place to study or somewhere to treat yourself from time to time.

I agree that they are sort of more expensive than some other coffee places, but after working there for a year I realised that its not only the coffee people like but its also the relaxed atmosphere and the groovy music (at least in my country) Also being expensive ppl are more than happy to be seen there as it show they can afford the expensive stuff!! :)
