Call me old fashioned but i still believe in marriage and the perks that it provides . Just living together means the couple has not legal perks at all and if someone gets mad its all to easy to just break up. Why not marry since you are already playing house without any legal perks?

as like your thought, i also don't see this kind is good to have in life but i also noticed that in some part of countries this kind thing is okay to do. due to my herritage and my religion, i definetely against this kind thing, but its my own opinion, dear
