I don't own a house. If I had enough money to afford a house, I prefer it near/within the city like Chinatown in America although house on the hill and house near the sea both are good and relax place. A house near the city makes me safe, and it's very convenient to go to grocery, and I like to say "hi" to people when I wake up in the morning. I prefer a house near/within the city.

I live on the edge of a coastal town overlooking fields. I would love to buy a thatched cottage with a sea view in a rural village. Then I could see the blue ocean from my windows, have a soft sea breeze and hear the waves crashing at the shore. I would enjoy long walks along the seashore and so would my two dogs.
I would love to buy a piece of land by the coast and get a tree house built on it. It would be high off the ground so it could give me a fantastic view of a palm fringed beach. It would have a thatched roof and large windows that would open to allow a cool breeze. I think I would go for walks along the coastline and go out snorkeling in the warm ocean to see colorful coral and friendly fish.

Hello dear chenpan. If I had enough money, I would like to buy two houses in these places because I love them both. A mountain house would make me see more of the green mountains and enjoy more of the fresh mountain air while a sea house would make me have a good view of the broad sea with its beautiful waves on sea and experience the scary rough waves on the sea as well. But I do not want a house near the sea where tsunami happens easily for safety.

Hilltop any day. Close to the sea there is a chance that a Temperature might soar and make it more humid than it usually is.
But living on a hill top would be so close to the actual greenery, birds and so many other things that can be observed. The rain would would make living there more pleasant and wonderful. Also The air would smell great at a hilltop rather than on a seashore.

I most defantly would have a house by the ocean or the sea, there is nothing more romantic or peaceful than the beautiful water. It calms my soul.I love to hear the water and the breezes are so wonderful there.I love to go for walks along the shore line. Collect rocks & shales.

I am lucky because I do live close to the sea. I don't own my own house but I can be on the beach or walking along the seafront within a few minutes of leaving my apartment. Each time the view is different, the sea changes its moods and the light changes in different weather conditions and at different times of day.
My family and friends have noticed a change in me since I came to live by the sea, so there may be some truth about sea air being good for your health and good for your state of mind.
