Talking at meetings when you are not expected to

It is common that I attend meetings, not really as a participant to the meeting, but merely to observe the meeting and how it goes. Taking notes here and there. But really not sure what those notes are for. I attend meetings simply because I was told by my superior to be there with her. If you were in my position, if there is something that you think you should say or suggest or comment about during the discussions, will you say it? And how will you say it? Will you whispher to your boss, tell her what you think, and let her say it to the group? Or just be quiet about it?

in my case i will tell whatever i feel if it is important. But never speak which i don't know. I will express myself if i am 100% sure about it

it depends what you want to ask. actually to ask something in the meeting, you need to be prepared for it beforehand. so learn about the agenda. also during meetings, listen something. after taht you acn ask taht in that group. whispering at meeting is not good at all.

Yes, you are right. Whisphering at meetings is not good. Maybe I should try writing down my suggestions instead, for my boss to read.

well i m no genius but i do think if u r part of the meeting then u should interact with others.cause meeting is a place where u can share ur ideas with others its the best place to get ahead of everyone else.all i gotta do is just wait for the right agenda or time to come and then u should just say wht acccording to u is beneficial for the coompany and spcly for u.

that's easy for you to say. I guess its different when you work in a government agency. I had my a-s kicked the other day (sorry for the term). I decided to, as they call it, "think aloud". I saw an issue that has to be brought up and I said it. After the meeting, my boss called my attention. Poor me...:(
