American Idol is like a melting pot for all the gifted voices in America. But as i have witnessed, most Black American landed to the bottom line even if they have a very impressive voice. There are also Asian contestant who maintained to stay on the top because of the great number of fellow blood living across the United States. If you will vote for them, are you going to vote for a talent or for a race?

When I vote I vote for who is the best singer not where they come from or their race. They are there to sing, make music eventually put out their own cd's and have their music played on the radio. It wouldn't make sense to vote for someone only because of where they come from and can't sing what good is that going to do when they try to make music? They already have a show called America's Got Talent that's to compete for the best talent, this is singing. The winner is getting a singing contract.

Well, it was their rule from the get-go, and I am sure the contestants knew it was more of a popularity contest rather than a talent contest. And I see no problem with that because there are so many contestants who didn't win yet managed to have a great career (Jennifer Hudson is one best example). It doesn't really follow that if you win the show, you will have a very great career (where is Ruben Studdard anyway?). Of course, race will play a very big role. It's part of being family. I am sure Asians living in the US will vote for Asian contestants mainly and African-Americans will vote mainly the African-American contestants.

i dont think it is all about talent, because truly, some of the people that have been voted out are quite talented...but i guess it is the process of elimination and well, not always the best 'man' wins...
