Reading is one of my hobbies. I like to read various kinds of books especially literary ones, such as fairy tales, great writers' novels, comments, translation works, etc. Recently I am reading Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I am impressed by its colloquial speech and the deeper meaning of the theme. It reminds me of the words" All human beings are created equal." A great man's great work! How about your favorite books?

I love to read and I read all sorts of books but they are mostly fiction. I'm not big on true life books. I love historical fiction, mysteries, horrors, romance, fantasy, and even some sci-fi books. I just finished reading "The Black Sun" by James Twining. It deals with clues to find a missing Nazi treasure. Keeps you guessing as to what the treasure is as well as who the good and bad guys are. It was very good. Some of my other favorite authors are Piers Anthony, Nora Roberts, Elizabeth Moon, James Patterson, Kathleen Woodiwiss, and J.K. Rowling to name a few. A lot depends on the storyline, if it catches my imagination I'll read it.

You're welcome and thank you for best response. Not sure where you are located but most of what I read are American authors although James Twining and J.K. Rowling are English. That can make it harder for you.

Well, I have read most of the classics, like Thoreau's Walden, Louisa May Alcott, etc..and Hawthorne, plus Emerson.
I have dipped into philosophy and read Allegory of the Cave, etc.. (Various writings by Socrates and Aristotle, or Kant, etc...)
I have read many differetn kinds of books. Includung science texts by those such as Darwin and Hawkings.
Still, when it is a rainy day and I just want to relax, I read ghost or other paranormal books from authors like Anne Rice or Stephen king for my entertainment.

I have always loved books and read whatever i could get my hands on, but now I'm reading more Fantasy like Juliet Marillier trilogys and Marian Zimmer Bradley..who wrote Mists Of Avalon.
After reading their books, I've gotten hooked on wanting to read more of what they wrote and similar authors. My Library at home has grown so much just on their books. Thankfully i have a Half price bookstore close by.
By The way Mark Twain is an excellant Author!
