Does your dog eat vegetables ??

One of my dogs is a carrot fanatic. When we go to feed carrots to the horses, he is constantly underfoot trying to get his carrots! The other one won't touch veggies, but she's a very picky eater - only likes certain treats, etc. I've never tried bananas - I'll have to do that!

My 10 year old daughter and I laugh over how our dog is like a kid. She only likes certain veggies. Like tomatoes, lettuce, corn and canned beans. She won't touch carrots or celery or raw potatoes. She might eat a peeling or two, but otherwise she doesn't like raw potatoes.

My son's dog will eat anything. . any type of food. . .even jalapeno peppers!

My dog used to love vegetables when he was alive. I just lost him in July after 17 1/2 years. He especially loved raw potatoes though, that used to be his favorite. Though he loved cucumbers, carrots, & others as well...give him raw potatoes anytime and he was in heaven.

Our vet recommended veggies for our dog. So She regularly gets carrots. And the ocassional celery stalk. This doesn't mean that dogs should get all sorts of fruit and veggies. Grapes and raisins can be fatal. They shut down the dogs kidneys.

Our dog is fed on a vegetable/grain based 'muesli' type dog food and she seems to thrive on it. She also loves any of the table scrap vegetables hich we mix with her regular feed rather than giving it to her extra (watching the waistline)and she is fond of chocolate which I know is poisonous so we buy her the approved doggie chocs. Not so keen on fruit but she does love nuts.

The vet told us our dog is a stone overweight at our last visit so she's on a strict diet. Dog ffod and mixer ONLY. Terry

Our dogs love all veggies and almost any fruit, but carrots are their very favorite. If I'm in the kitchen chopping carrots for something, they're right there at my feet waiting for me to toss them a slice. They'll even eat raw spinach.

My old cocker spaniel eats veggies - well he'll eat almost anything you put infront of him. My bichon shih zu will only eat veggies if theyre something i'm eating and shes begging. And she will eat raw peas if i open the pod for her. Otherwise shes a really fussy eater and the only canned dog food she will eat is chicken cuts in gravy (occasionally i can get her to eat the beef stew cuts)
