I have a question for those mylotters who have been on here for a long time.
I have read on numerous discussions that you are not allowed to hyperlink on a discussion, however, I have seen few people who hyperlink. Are you really not allowed to? I have read the TOS but do not remember reading anything about not being able to hyperlink.
If you aren't then why do people still do it?

What if our website is related to the discussion? Can we link to it then?

i think the hierarchy would place more importance on relevance, than personal promotion. so in my opinion, yes. but as for how it really is, no clue.

I think it is all right to link to your blog or web site. But, make sure that you are not deliberately doing it. For example, I sign off with my blog URL when I discuss on issues about blogging or related topics. If I discuss about myLot or some general issues, then I know that my link is of no relevance to the discussion. So, I do not use it. Thanks.

it's perfectly ok to link something relevant, like a news article or something like that. They are mostly against referral links because a lot of these are scams - they also don't want to pay you to promote your website which i think it respectable.
But you can put any links on your profile, so you can always tell someone to look for a link on there or send private messages.
