family dinners

who really benefits from family dinners once you are older? your parents whom love it when their adult children come over and argue, eat, and leave a mess. i as one of the children benifit from the free or reduced price meals...why do you have family dinners????

I love family dinners because it's another way for me to connect with my grown children. Yes, it can be a little more work on my part, but I think its worth it. I normally do family dinners twice a month usually Sundays.

we try to help by bring food for my mom to cook and sometimes my sister will help cook. nobody would want to eat my food if i cooked...

My family only brings a dish for major holidays. I think if they had to prepare a meal they would not come.

I think that having family dinners is a chance to biotch about things, eat a bunch of free food, and talk about the past. So more or less, it's a biotchfest that'll make you fat.
