We have 4 cats and they are different breeds. I have 2 american shorthairs. They are tiger and white colored. Nemo is a persian and maine co0n mix. He's black and white. (And really fat and fluffy) Meeca is my oldest and she is a tortiose. She's black and white with creamy swirls and a little bit of orange tiger on her. So now you have met my cats, tell me about yours.

I've got a pair of tortoise shell moggies. Well, the vet records say domestic short hair, but AFAICT, that's basically a catch all term for, "yes, it's got short fur; no I don't know anything about its breeding." BTW, if Mecca's dominant colors are black and white with some orange or cream, she's a calico. Torties don't have a significant amount of white in their coats.

Well in her vet records and from the records when we got her, she is labeled as a tortie. The easiest way to describe her is that she is tortie on top and when she is flipped over she's calico on her underside. Perhaps she is a tortico!

I have two domestic short hairs as the call a plain ole cat. One is a dilute tortie color and the other is black and white.

Do you notice if your short hairs are more playful than other cats if you've had them? The 2 of ours are more ornery and apt to get into trouble than the other 2. I was just wondering because we've talked about it before at our house.

I have rescued cats.... I would say that most of my cats - probably 10 or so have some amount of Siamese in them, even if most don't LOOK siamese. I have 1 they told me was pure - I don't think he's pure, but he's got the markings. I have a blue lynx point, I have a snowshoe. I also have 4 black cats, probably 2 of whom are half siamese, the other 2 seem to be pretty siamese-ie. We have quite a few others who have that siamese voice or body shape, Rygel, while being brown tabby and lots of white, is very siamese body shaped and voiced and is a big, active cat. I have 1 long haired cat, Rio, but she doesn't have the smashed in face so she's not persian. Solo has a lot in common with a Maine Coone, but he's small for one - but his mother was a midget cat - only 5 lbs when she had the c-section to deliver him. Oliver has long hair too, but not like Rio's fur, very soft. The rest? just your plain old rescued kitties.

I have about three cats and they are all short hair american cats...one of them is black and he is a really nice cat that is older now but he still loves to be petted and all of that...and then there is trouble...our middle cat..not the youngest and not the oldest...he is pretty nice but he likes to wonder...and then there is casper and he is the meanest of them all you can just walk by his and he will just hiss at you because he doesn't like anyone but he stays in the house though...so I dont know whats wrong with him lol JHL930

Mine are just bog standard moggie cats, no special breed. They're gorgeous though! Two ginger females, about a year old. My parents keep Siamese cats, and wow do those cats like to let you know they're around! I reckon they're actually dogs in a cat's body :-)

2 tabby mixes (the person we got them from wasn't sure of the father) 1 burmese/maine co0n mix. the burmese is all black, one of the tabbies is calico the other is tuxedo.it's funny, both of them if they sit in a sunbeam, you can see the ghost tabby markings.otherwise,it's pretty hidden.

I have 3 cats. One is a domestic short haired although, I have seen where one vet will call her short haired and one will call her long haired. So, to me, her hair is not long enough to tangle so, looks short to me! LOL! Her name is Purr and she is black with a little white triangle on her neck. She is about 9 years old. Then there is Sydney. She is a Tuxedo cat (Black on top with white trim on her belly, a white stripe on her nose, white chin and white paws). She is about 9 and a half years old. And, last but not least is Martini (Marti for short). She is like a Tuxedo only she is gray and white. And, she is about 4 years old. In my profile page, there is a picture of Martini with Frizbee and one of Sydney myLotting on my laptop. I haven't uploaded any pictures of Purr yet.
