When you see a mosquito, do you try and kill it?

I was just replying on some of the discussion here in myLot when a mosquito came by my sight and I ceased typing for a moment. Silently followed the mosquito by sight and prepared my hands to clap it dead. Then I recalled that I also do that in other places, in other situations even when some people are around. In the bus, while in class, anywhere How about you guys? Whenever you see a mosquito, do you kill it?

Yes! I've lived in places where the mosquitoes were as thick as fog and also where they were considered the state bird. I got rid of them any chance I could!

Well your topic was about smacking and killing them, so that's mainly what I meant. I don't use chemicals, but I did use citronella candles and plant based repellants.

They repel only. I don't know of anything that kills them outright (other than heavy duty chemical pesticides).

Mosquito's love me and I hate them, so yes I try to kill it to prevent the blood sucker from biting me, or my small kids! I can't stand them, it's second nature to try to kill them!

So what are the things that you usually do to have them killed? Insecticide Spray? Repellants? What types in case there are varieties..?

I sure do. I hate them dang things. they eat me up. We don't have mosquitos out here yet in Indiana, I don't believe. It is warm outside today though, so there may be some. I will kill everyone of them that I see because they tear me up.

Yes. I hate getting bug bites. I don;t g looking for bugs to kill, but if they come in the house, I'll get them.

Yeah, I do that also. I got easily irritated by the noise they make. I dont want also to get bitten by a mosquito.

I sometimes get into such a pose, like those who do t'ai chi, or that chinese martial art and system of callisthenics, consisting of sequences of very slow controlled movements, and then suddenly clapping my hands too loud.. I'll just realize later that others are oddly looking at me
