Hi Baicai. I think I can answer your question for you. Chicory is a wild herb, which can be used to substitute coffee, but it is often used to blend with coffee as it is in your can. Adding Chicory to Coffee is quite popular in India, parts of Southeast Asia and the America's Southern regions, in particular, New Orleans. Ground Coffee is coffee beans which are put into a grinding machine, and ground down to powder form. If you like fresher coffee, you can buy the beans, and either have them ground in the coffee store, or grind them yourself in your home coffee grinder. I hope you understand all that. Brightest Blessings and enjoy your coffee.

hi,Darkwing, you are so kindhearted! thanks a lot! i understand your sentences completely. i am so happy. but i also want to know, in China and many countries, when people drink coffee, they usually put some white powder in it, which can make coffee tastes more smooth, is that white powder chicory?

I don't know about China but some do that here as well. They add a white, creamy powder to it called Coffee Mate. It's made by Carnation, and it is a creamy, smooth coffee whitener which is used in place of cream, or milk. Thank you for BR my friend, and for the friends invite. I have added you to my list.
