Dating your ex...

I guess it would really depend on the circumstances. How serious was the relationship, how long has it been over, why did it end? I had an abusive boyfriend in high school and it would kill me if any of my friends ended up dating him, simply because I would constantly worry for their lives. I also had a great boyfriend my senior year of high school, but we grew apart when I started college (he was a school-year behind me). My sister and he became pretty good friends and I encouraged her to date him, but she felt it was just wrong because he was my ex. I still wish they had gotten together because they really have so much in common.

My Best friend is dating my ex... I broke up with him over 10 years ago. She hooked up with him about 2 years after we split. I dont have a problem with it, they are happy and we are all still friends.

I think it is a norm when our particular circle is small and limited so it is not surprising if our ex is dating a best friend and/or one of my friends. As such, they may even end up together which is acceptable with me too. I would not let our past get in the way of their new relationship as this getting along and chemistry is just too individual to guage and put past experiences into it. So for me I am fine and easy on it. I have one of my ex girlfriend going steady with my friend in the recreation club and seems getting on well too. I just hope that things will work out between them and may she find the love with him when she could not with me. They have my blessings and I hope to hear their wedding bells soon if possible.
