Evolution is scientifically supported. But you cant make the religious people agree with this. Why is this? Or is there any scientific proof for evolution? Creation is such that we dont need any proof for it. But does that mean its true? What do you think?

It doesn't matter about scientific proof or not. There will be people who believe in Creation over Evolution. And there will be people who will except Evolution over Creation. You can try to change a person's mind about either Evolution or Creation but they won't change.Me, I believe in both. You can believe in both but most people think you either are religious and you believe in Creation or you are non religious and you know that Evolution is the truth.

I think people can be religious as well as believers in evolution. I am religious but i believe in evolution. Actually it has been a subject of great passion to me and i wanted to pursue a carrer based on that like a zoologist, pae[leantologist, genetic engineering etc but did not do so. However the subject still interests me.

I think you can be religious and believe in evolution too. It is some people that don't believe it.Is it too late to be a zoologist?

Actually i am doing Engineering now in Biomedicals. I was always interested in biology. So i thould i would like it. But it was not that interesting to me. I am being offered a job in a software company after i finish my engg course. I am taking the job. I guess if i am determined to be a zoologist i still can be, but i am looking into software for now and who knows, may be ten years from now i may take up zoology again.
I also like archaelogy and am quite a good follower of the subject. So may be i may take up that in the future. But right now i am not thinking of it. Concentrating on finishing my course and joining the software company.

While I admire the extremely religious, that refuse to believe in evolution, for their faith in God. I don't see any reason why God can't be the architect behind evolution. The Bible is an excellent resource but by no means should be taken literally word for word.
There is an excellent movie somewhat covering this debate:

Definitely worth renting if you have an open mind about the debate between evolution and creative design.

I too think that god can be behind evolution. God must have created the first livng cell which evolved into the various life forms thjat we see today. We have a misconception created due to some religions which say that god gave men dominion over the other animals and the environment. This has resulted in exploitation of theenviroment, extiction of certain species and finally leading to global warming. This would result in the end of humanity unless action is taken.
