Do you think felons deserve the right to vote?

I cam across this and wondered what you all think about it? The constitution states "The right of citizens of the United States shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, or previous condition of service." I believe currently that they are allowed to vote. I however am on the fence and would like to hear other opinions.
