For me its horror. Once i learn that there is a horror movie playing in cinema near my house. I would be thinking of it all the time with excitement before i finally go to see it. Comedy too brings some excitement to me. I guess i am a man of the two extremes-comedy and horror. What about you?

I love action films and suspense/mystery films.Give me either a damn good fight or car chase or a surprise ending and I am happy. ps. There are two horror films opening soon here in the States. One is a remake of Prom Night and the other is called The Ruins. I don't know how long a U.S. movie takes to open in your area but I thought you should know.

i am the same as you Arjun... to be honest i like all knids of movies from horror to comedy but i dont like cheesy pointless movies that they make just for the hell of it...i have seen so many movies that to be honest i find it hard to feel satisfied unless its really out of this world, I prefer films and thrillers with a meaning and a mind blowing twist i think its amazing how directers put thought into a movie. if you know any good movies then let me know..take care..x

Westerns!!! There were so many westerns in the movies and on TV when I was growing up, some great and some crap. Somewhere along the line they faded away. Thank God for Clint Eastwood, as he revived the Western genre and proved that it could still sell if done well. I'll be forever grateful to John Wayne, John Ford, Jimmy Stewart, Roy Rogers, etc for loading up my childhood with these wonderful, action packed adventures. Now,it seems that everyone wants to have a hand in making or being in a western. There aren't that many, but the recent ones have been very good. The spaghetti westerns, Dances with Wolves, the Unforgiven, Open Range are just a couple that have kept me wanting more. The Wild Bunch and True Grit are, perhaps the best of the best.
If I had the choice of what era I could have been born into, I would choose being born after the Civil War and to have lived thru the 1870s, witnessed the turn of the century and the transition of the Old West thru the industrial age. Fascinating times.

I would go for action-suspense movies. Something that would have, like, gunfights, fistfights, kungfu, special fight effects, even catfight. They are really stimulating. Not to mention the fact that I get to bite my nails when I see these types of movies.
I may not go for horror like you do since I would most likely cover my eyes during frightening moment, and miss a quarter of the fun. lol

for me its romantic genre!i love these movies.make me watch any movie which has a love story in it and i will cry away to glory if they happen to break up in the movie.me being a sensitive, emotional and romantic being i feel this justifies it.the other genre i'm excited is horror.i just love the way you clutch yourself getting scared out of your wits even when you know nothing of it is true.

For me it is horror also, I love horror films, sadly my friends do not share my interest and won't go with me because I like to see horrible scary, gory films like Hostel, Saw etc, the gorier the better, I once took a friend to see Final Destination 3 and it gave him nightmares for weeks and weeks and has never forgiven me for it LOL. I like the horror film to really scare me and contain lots of blood and guts, great stuff.

I too like the movies to scare me. I am used to it after seeing a lot of horror movies but every now and then a movie comes that can scare the crap out of you. The last movie that scared me like that was 'The descent'. 'Carver' a 2008 movie is pretty scary too in the Hostel-Texas Chainsaw mould.
