My lotters has this happened to you? I started out afew weeks back witha blue star 10then I made a discussion someone did not like and I was put bak to a nine. I really felt sort of bad as I was proud of my blue star. Everyone told me that happens a lot so don't worry but it did bother me.Now tonight specially after having had computer trouble so that I did not get on MyLot until ten tonight I just saw that I have my blue star back I am a ten again whoopee. Am i being vain like one poster a guy rebuked me for or is this just a normal response:?

I want to be known as a ten, but I also know that whether you mean something to be read in a negative way, or not, there is going to be those that will read as such. Especially if you do not clarify what you are saying well enough for them to understand what yo are saying. Then there are those who don't care if you say something wrong (Even if you didn't mean it that way), they judge you with out asking what you actually meant.

IMO that would be considered vanity. Here is what the dictionary says: Proud of petty things, or of trifling attainments; having a high opinion of one's own accomplishments with slight reason; conceited; puffed up; inflated. http://www.dictionary.net/vain

Hi Patsie, Good for you. Such things happen again and again. No biggie, happened to me too. And you are lucky to get it back so soon. Sometimes, friends who see that your star dropped will help give pluses but FRIENDS normally have email notification turned on - and so, they will reply straight from the email and would not notice what star you are currently enjoying.

Yes it happens. Like, it has happened to me 2 weeks ago. I am not sure about which discussion attributed to the decrease of my rating from 8 to 7. What I remember is I responded to an issue about abortion and expectedly, some people were not happy with my response. That's the only recent discussion I participated in that involved disagreement. But after a few days, I got my 8-star rating back and not long after that, it became 9. Within that period and after this has happened, I don't have a clearcut understanding of what happened. It changed and then changed back; and then, changed again without any notification or whatsoever.

I feel good when I have a 10-star rating. When it drops, I have no idea what caused it since I'm so sweet most of the time . I've seen there's some fluctuation though, so I guess it's normal. It bothers me when it drops. Whether it's vanity or not? I don't think so. It's been earned and it's like an achievement reward (remember those from school days?).
