why most of the people like cats&dogs? do you allow kids to play with pets?

most of the people like cats&dogs and they play with them so we have so many pets but we don't like to play with them so why is it like that? even though i have two cats at home and whenever i get free time i spend time to play with them i will have great fun with them. so do you have cats at you are home. 90% of the people interested to take cats& dogs but why is it like that? do you know anything? because i have some doubts on this one.

I do have cats at home and it is really a lot of fun playing with them!! They will chase about anything that moves. There seems to exist a natural bond between humans and cats&dogs!!

I do have a cat that lives in the house with me, I do like to play with my cat. He is very amusing to watch. I also like when my grandkids come over and play with him also.
