Zimbabwean election: Should Mugabe stay in power?

April 1, 2008 8:03am CST
The Zimbabwean elections are coming close to a result now, and it's looking like Robert Mugabe's 27-year reign as President of Zimbabwe is facing more pressure than ever before. It was claimed that Mugabe had indeed lost the election, with Morgan Tsvangirai as the opposition leader to take over Mugabe. Official news has yet to be stated though, with people believing this delay in their announcement being a ploy by Mugabe's party to 'rig' the results in favour of Mugabe. Now, several countries are calling for the announcement to be made. --Source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/7323667.stm What do you make of this story? Is it about time that Mugabe was to step down, given his history? Are you skeptical that the voting could be rigged given this delay?
