How do you go along with your leader?

As an employer,most of the time ,we must go with your leader.Sometimes ,it is boring to me,such as now,my leader who don't know how to divide his power.So he looks like very busy every day,But I don't know what can I do to help him.
Do meet the same situation? And how do you go well with your leader?

I work in a very "flat" IT company. Even though I have a leader I don't really see him as one. We are all very equal, everyone listens to everyone and we decide pretty much yourself when to show up and go home. It's a pretty nice thing :-)
