I would start a trust fund at one of the local pharmacies so that people on very limited incomes could get necessary medications without having to decide whether to eat or buy their prescriptions.
I would also donate a substantial amount to the local humane societies, homeless shelters and the food programs for both the homeless and those providing food for the low income people that don't have enough money to last the month.
I also would pay off my BF's bills so that he can enjoy life and not worry about money. I also would get a contractor to finish the inside of his house and also build him a deck.
Then, if I had enough money, I would buy a house for my best friend and her husband. I would rent it to them for about $200 a month (they're on disability and can't afford to have something that big given to them)and make sure that it is furnished and ready for them to move into. I also would buy both my BF and my best friend mobility scooters so that it isn't so painful for them to shop or do things. Both of them have bad knees and it is so painful for them to walk.
I just bought a lotto ticket and my favorite thing to do is to dream about what I would do with the money if I won. It seems like I have people in my life that I love so much that I would rather spend the money on them then spend it on myself. I have a daughter who is married, and everyone thinks that I would spend the money on her and her family, but I realized long ago that if I spent the money and paid her bills and bought them a nice house and new cars they wouldn't appreciate them. They need to work for what they want, which hopefully will instill the value of what they have and that they need to take care of what they have.
These are the dreams that I have if and when I get a large amount of money. The only other thing I would do is buy my doctor a Corvette. I have been his patient for over 25 years and I promised him long ago that I would buy him a vette, and I don't forget promises like that.

I would love to be able to pay off all my bills and debts, to be free from all my financial obligations. I would also invest in a secure bond to provide an income from the money, so I would have some security for the future.

Well, it really depends on exactly how much. However, I really want a house of my own... but in the current economic climate it looks likely to never happen... unless I inherit my dad's house, and he's got a good few decades left in him yet (and he has three daughters and a grandson :( I'll never get that house!)!

If it were a huge amount, like lottery huge?
Buy a house outright. Pay off my dad's mortgage and demand he NEVER sell the house but give it to me (it has memories). Buy my sister a house (she has a family now) and buy my mom the house she and my nan are living in.
Pay off debts and if there was anything left (or even just enough to get a mortgage) buy another house in the town I live in and rent it out.
Then on to charity things...
But that would HAVE to be at least... £700k and probably more... houses cost stupid money now!

Well before anything else, I would wish that money would be large enough to cover everything I that intend to spend for...LOL! First of all I would pay all our debts. Then we would buy our own home and move in immediately! Then I would start investing more on the needs of our business. Then I would buy a college plan for my youngest child so that in the future, if anything ever happens to anyone us while she is still studying, we would be confident that she finishes her studies. Then would plan a vacation for our family. That's one thing that we need so very badly these days. If there's still leftover after all that has been spent, then we save for a rainy day!

LOL..favorite question. Hmm..let me see, I will buy a house for my parents first. And of course by a house for me. Build a music school with my brother, and let him run it. He always dream to build a music school. And for me, I will build a handicraft shop. That's always been my dreams since i was in college. The rest of it, goes for saving account. Just in case, if you need anything on sudden. Well, you just never know right ?

In the past I would say I liked to have a good meal, buy something for myself, my family and my friends. And then I would like to have a travel. Now it's different. After the earthquake disaster, I change my mind. I will donate some money at first if I have lots of money.

Hello dear naseefu. If I could get a very large sum of money, I would like to start my own business without working for my current boss. I would love to have my own business as I could be more flexible in my work. That is my greatest dream. In our school, there are many teachers trying to buy welfare lottery for their fortune, but I have never tried as I did not think that I would be that fortunate. Now I am thinking that maybe it is a good idea for me to try some times to see what will happen to me. If this dream of winning a large sum of money, I would be on top of the world and would surely be able to have a better life. Thanks so much for your discussion.

I have been off work for the last 2 years due to a back injury. I have got nothing from my insurance company like income replacement, travel expenses to and from the doctors. I got a large sum of money from the scars that I sustained in my car accident. I am in the process of appealing the commission and the decision. As I think it is unfair. I am unable to work and they are stating that it is a pre-existing condition that I have and is causing all my back problems. I have never had a back injury in my life. So the money that I have received I am paying for all my medications and my back treatments right now and living off this money that I got from them. Hopefully I can get something out of the insurance company and get the money that I am entitled too. I just have to wait and fight harder for it as I will not give up on this.
