according to this study there is a myth that teenager girls are slimmer if they smoke, and that is not true, they are no slimmer than non smoking girls,
but the study shows that teenage smoking can stunt growth in teenager boys

I think that smoking does stunt your growth. It has always been a myth but I do believe it. I think smoking does curb some person's appetite though and that is what makes them get thinner. I started smoking in my late teens. It used to keep me from eating alot which helped me to lose some weight. I have a teenage girl and she don't smoke. I don't have any boys.

My grandmother always told me smoking would stunt my growth. But I think it was just a way to keep me from smoking. It didn't work. I started smoking when I was 16. My oldest daughter smokes and she stands 5'6. My husband stands 6'1 and he smokes. My stepdad stood 6'3 and he smoked. So no I don't think it stunts your growth.
