Why do some people consider myspace.com a dangerous site?

For one thing, pedophiles search for children and younger people to "be friends with." Children left alone on places like MySpace are prone to give out information about where they live to their "friends." It's a scary place to let your children run wild on!

because they take no personal responsibility, instead of blaming themselves for their kid acting like a who*re or their son getting in fights, its easier to blame the website that their lil jonny is being a who*re on..

I have a myspace page but I totally supported my supervisor when she decided to ban Myspace from the library/learning center that I manage. It causes problems with the kids around here. Posting nasty things about other people and "friends" finding out other people's passwords and changing stuff on their page. It caused a bunch of drama. I let all the kids know who come in here that if they are under the age limit and have a myspace page, they are breaking the rules but, untimately it is up to their parents. It's too easy for kids to meet some wierdo on there and who knows what could happen. I have met my share of weirdos on the internet, that's for sure, lol.

Dangerous for children. The MySpace pages aren't censored, bad languages written, sexually suggestive images, disturbing videos to younger audiences, and many more.
