Happy Birthday Mail

I just received an email today that has me wondering if it's only me or do most people receive these things in their snail mail and email. In the grand scheme of things I would think that I'm so insignificant that some family members might even forget my birthday, but not the catalogs, insurance companies, etc. These people begin sending out Happy Birthdays weeks before the actual event, all in the pursuit of making a sale most of the time. So, do you get bombarded with them each year when your birthday is near?

I would like to wish you a Happy Birthday also, weemam! My second oldest daughter just happened to be born on the same day as you. I don't know about diamonds-right now I'd settle for a few less aches and pains.

Yes, they think that sending you automatic birthday greetings lets you believe that they have a personal interest in you. Actually it is more or less their computer wishing you a happy birthday.

Right, GG, and also a nice way to possibly drum up some business.

I get some of the mail. I recieved my liscense plate renewal thing a few weeks ago. Why do they send those out so early?
Who knows...maybe I'll get some birthday emails this year. My birthday is in a few weeks and I am kinda looking forward to it.

Whoa! No, I don't. How'd you get them? Maybe they are subscriptions? Insurances? Haha! That's a good way to do it, I think you just had given me an idea. I'll try to do that to my clients.
An email.. Maybe a mail too. Thanks for this idea! Cool!

Our insurance agent always sends out a postcard, to remind us to do an insurance check up around our birthday. I like the Christmas greeting better, though, as we get address labels.

I receive almost as much junk snail mail as spam, carmelanirel. I will be blessed to be turning 62 on the 23rd of this month. Where did all the time go?

It did not happen to me before . But why you think it a burden ? So many people celebrate for your birthday . It`s a good thing . So don`t mind the reasons they send mails for . Just enjoy the well-wishing

I don't really look at it as a burden, completist, I'm more puzzled at how some of them manage to find out.

It's nice to be recognized, Aurone, but sometimes it extends to overkill.

Somehow, mummymo, if you've ever purchased anything from a catalog, they never forget you.
