the use of linux is FREEDOM.
linux is free, windows is not, linux gives you an alternative to the m1crosoft empire, and bill.
it is not only about security, it is about stable, fast, and again, free. you can modify it, and sell it if you want.
very few viruses, and if hacked, it is very easy to find the hacker inspecting logs, unlike searching the registry :)

Hi linux is secure because it is open souce any body can see source code and modify.And also implimentation of drivers are very easy

Yes Linux is more secure, but it is also more stable. There has been a Linux server running for 7 years without rebooting(i would like to see a windows machine do that). Also the software is cheaper for it than the software for MS Linux for the most part is open source so developers can write programs that take advantage of Linux which helps everything run smoothly.
Another reason to learn Linux is because if you get certified in it you can make it your career, pays pretty good.
