I have black hair but I always wanted it to be very black since everytime I will be exposed in the sun, it will turn to brown. I tried to dye it several times using inexpensive chinese products but it wont last longer than I want it to be!

Hello yasmin02476. Yes, I like my hair color. My hair color right now is black. I tried dyeing my hair a different color. I tried light brown to medium brown so far I liked it then I tried a different color. It looks like a bit like brown and orange. When I dyed my hair my sister said that my hair is orange. After that I didn't dare to dye my hair again. I love my hair color just the way it is.

You do have gorgeous hair and I would love to have half the shine you have got. I have dyed my hair various colours in the past - even black LOL!
I think it would be quite difficult to get a colour to 'take' well on your hair as it is so dark. From the expected results I have seen on home hair dyes the darker the natural colour, the darker the effect - but I guess it depends on how striking you want the effect to be.
You can get sprays and water based dyes that will wash out straight away which shouldn't do much harm to your hair. You could also try henna based dyes as they are completely natural.
The real problem with dying your hair is that it dries it out so you really need to condition it a lot especially if you are going to keep on colouring it. The best thing to do is try and give your hair a break from colouring so that it has a chance to recover. If you do decide to colour it then it is definately worth getting a professional to do it for you as they can recommend some good conditioning products and advise on the best way to keep it nice.
Have you thought about coloured hair extensions or maybe just a few streaks to see how you like it?

When I was a kid my hair was very blond and straight. As I got older it turned to a dark shade of brown and got curly on it's own.I like my hair for the most part.Sometimes my hair can look wild with all the natural curl and fullness.I have changed my hair color when I was a teenager and it really hurt my hair and dried it out.It took me a long time to get my hair healthy again.I think your hair is beautiful do not change the color you will never get it back to the same shine or blackness it is now.Hair dye does something to your hair if you change it around a lot.Cut it or try some other style before coloring it.Just my thoughts.

I have naturally dirty blonde hair, but over the years it has started to get a little darker, but I have maintained for as long as I can remember blonde highlights. Lately though, I have been getting bored with this color, and also a little tired of paying the expense which is quite costly where I go and I have to go about every 3 months, some times sooner. I have been thinking of going to a brown color of some sort but I did it once before and the votes I got from mostly every one I know was that they liked it much more with the blonde, I guess thats because they are used to seeing me in, and change can be hard for some. I guess they'll all have to adjust.

My natural hair colour is jet black. When I put henna (mehendi which is a leaf paste of the plant leaves which will give red colour to hands and legs when applied), the hair will be orange for some time. Since henna is good for hair and cools our body system, I apply it some times.
