What exactly is the legacy of Corazon Aquino?

Recent news carried that the former president was diagnosed to have been suffering from colon cancer. And eversince this was learned, many talks have been circling around the real score of the Aquino legacy. Because she is a national figure, and has a role in the story of the nation recently, many have tried to unearth the legacy of Aquino, along with those who actually question if there is one.
What is your view? What exactly is the legacy of Corazon Aquino? Now that she seems to enter a very challenging period of her life, would it not be appropriate for us to consider her seriously, and her real role in the history of our country.

It is a sad day for the Philippines when news about Cory Aquino's colon cancer was announced... When Cory delivered her speech in her last State of the Nation Address as a president... she said that only history will judge her... or what she has done for the Philippines...
And as of now... with or without cancer... Filipinos and none Filipinos alike only have good words for her... she is the symbol of strength and sacrifice... and she deserves all the respect there is...

just like you, i don't have a clear picture of what legacy corazon aquino has in the philippines. what i remember from my history lessons is that she is the first woman president of the country and she was elected to that position because the people revolution was able to topple ferdinand marcos out of office. aside from that, there are no other remarkable things that i can remember her from.
