Do you think swimming very dangerance

I am a four-year-old baby's mother.I like swimming very much.So I hope my baby can swim too,but most people around me told me it is very dangerance because of child easy to being drown.How do you think about it?By the way,I am also not good at swimming.

I think swimming for children is not dangerous as long as the parents is always there to look after the kids. I don't know how to swim, and I really regret it now as I always scared of drowning when near the sea. I think it's actually a MUST LEARN skill.
