If you are really a Christian for quite a long time or have learned the doctrines of the Bible, you will not indulged yourself to those harry potter movies and books. It does not glorify your God for watching movies like that! I just pray that we'll learn from our mistakes. Happy day to you!

I hear a lot of people are against harry potter and such. It is all just nonsense really. It is just a story...fiction. read it and enjoy it....you won't burn in hell over it, i'm sure.

are you gonna stop reading HP just because the bible says I-dont-know-what about witckcraft? I think that there are some things in the bible that are a little bit stupid, I mean, ist not the same society than a few years ago, right? (besides it can be true or false, but nevermind that)

Wow that is a loaded question is it not! lol First off, I do believe in God. So dont think that I do not. I have a problem with organized religion telling me that Im going to Hell for reading a book when part of their own brethren are diddling alter boys. What some people fail to accept is that organized religion is and always has been the most corrupt institution on the Planet. In the old days, who made the laws? who held all the gold? It was the Cardinals. They dictatead was acceptable. How did they do this? They instilled the fear of God on the everyday people in order to keep them in line. The religous institutions need to keep the pesants in line, and what better way to do so than to tell them that they MUST follow the way that is in their Bible. If you follow a different path the well you are going to Hell. All the while keeping the pesants in check explaining to them that sure you dont have any money now, but follow us, be good sheep and you will get your reward after you die. Hence, keeping the pesants content and the religous folks horded all the gold. Religion is wrecked with double standards, Inscest is a sin, however Adam slept with Eve and had Cain and Able. ummm Where did Cane and Able's kids come from? Last I checked the the story, there was 3 guys Adam, Cane , and Able...and only one woman..Eve. Whoops slight over sight. So for the religous right to tell us that wichcraft is the work of the devil and you will go to hell for reading about it, is absurd. Especially in a fictional book such as Harry Potter. I do think that God has bigger fish to fry other than Joe Average guy reading a childrens book.If worse comes to worse, read the books and then repent. You will be forgiven. Give some money to the church if that makes you feel better, Lord knows they always need it and will never NOT take your money. Remember--God, creator of all things, all powerfull, all might, He's just not good with money

Come on man!! its just a kid's story and movie.iIs it necessary to link everything with God???leave entertainment at least...I dont think even god will mind seeing the movie...or else god would not have allowed the people to make such a story n movie!!!In fact the writer got the idea in a train while travelling ..it came to her mind just like that..I t means god only gave her the idea..nothing happens without the will of god!!!so go ahead n enjoy a good entertainment!!!

It's fiction. You're not going out and trying to curse people. It's a children's book. It's no different than letting your kids watch ""looney tunes, watching movies like "the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe". I don't think it's a sin to enjoy reading books like this.
