i say yes..we can share our love to pets, if you have them then you know what i mean and what pet lover feel bout their pets

hi power! i don't think it is a need, but rather a want. pets are like hobbies, even without them, we can live. needs are basic, such as food, shelter and clothing. over and above this, are not needs. so you should not be pressured into getting one, okay. :) take care! ps. i don't have a pet and i am fine. :)

I think it so.Many of us need a pet to spare our love,when our family and friends don't have time to listen .

I believe pets teach us a deeper compassion, how to care for someone, how to take care of someone, how to show affection without fear, etc. So yes, I do believe everyone can learn to be a better person by owning a pet of some sort, however, not everyone can take care of a pet because of travel or time constraints. This is one of those things you would have to evaluate about your life, can you take care of it, can you spare it the time, etc.
