for economic reason, people tend to suicide?

its sad thing happened in my country at this moment. due to high inflation which caused price of every stuff getting increased without any control, so many suicide case happened today. 
in part of my country, there are some case that mothers killed their children and themselves due to economic reason and poverty. another cased, a mother burned her children cause not able to buy some foods after few days and then burned her self too.
another case, a mother suicide her self cause of economic pressure in her house hold due non fixed job of her husband.
its really tragic and make me thinking over, how could of poverty and economic pressure, a person choose to suicide than try to struggle. is life so much cheap recently so by one main reason, poverty and economic pressure, they commit to suicide?
by the economic condition at this moment, i also have difficult life, but i am sure there always any ways to manage it only if we believe it. no matter how difficulties of this life as long we have hope and willing to struggle, i don't think that suicide is the last option for this condition.
for all of my dear friends, lets put our hope together in the good life and never give up to face any difficulties in your life

That is awful. It is going on here right now in the ?United States too. The economy is very bad right now and it is very hard to make it. I can understand why some people give up on life. Some have had it hard all of their life and it keeps getting worse for them so they just end it. It is awful that those people cannot get the help they need. No one should have to struggle or live like that. I feel very sorry for them.

yeah i heard that economic inflation happened all over the world. i really feel sad about the decision of some people to end their life cause of this difficult situation, still thinking over, is there nothing could do beside ended up of life?

Yeah. I think people have a hard time getting any kind of help and they just give up on life. They have struggles for a long time and they get so tired and discouraged.

I am sorry that in so many places there is dispair over economic hardship.
I cannot imagine how a mother could kill herself and her children... That would have been so hard to do... to just give up is one thing but to take others with you is an evil thing... although she may have thought it was more loving to kill them outright than to see them and herself starve.
It is bad times when there are not enough supports provided by the government and charities to assist people who are in need.
It is important in these times for people to rely on each other, for the people to reach out and offer help when needed and for the people who need help to have enough courage and wisdom to ask for it. It is okay to ask for help when needed and it does a service to ask for help when needed as it gives another person the opportunity to earn good karma, to benefit from the act of giving...
It is important to maintain hope and faith and compassion for oneself and others.

I think the pressures get to them and they snap. They see no way out of debt or no way to afford the basic things in life like food and shelter and it pushes them to the edge of just wanting to give up. It's terrible though b/c things are constantly changing and a week from now things may be better.

Hello dear plumwish. I feel so sorry for the sucidal caused by whatever cause. I do not think that it is a good idea to commit sucide when we are facing something that makes us feel hard. Instead we must face it bravely and try to manage it with our effort. Life itself is short, so everyone is supposed to value it and take good care of our life however difficult life could be.

Oh Plumwish this is shocking for me to hear and also very upsetting, where abouts do you live exactly?
I think its such a shame that there is not more help in place for people who are stuggling and that they have to resort to such drastic measures.
Im sorry to hear that you are also struggling but pleased to hear you have the right attitude to your current situation.

life its hard in my country dear. i come from indonesia and lots of insecure life happened due to high economic inflation and also some natural disaster. struggling in life is the thing that i used to do when i know whats the exactly of life and by struggling in life, we would know how is quality in our self and really knowing the meaning of happiness.
although my life in difficulties which mean i should do more wisely in spending my salary due to fulfill our basic needs and paying some bills still i thankful about my condition to GOD

i hope everybody has a better tomorrow.
i graduated 5 year ago, now i just find a part time job . every day i feel unsafe i 'm always worrying about my tomorrow. i think i must try to struggle and then i can feel better.

They really have to be very desperate to do this some just cant see a light at teh end of the tunnels and yes it is realy sad.
Not sure if some here that kill them selves and kids are in the same dark tunnel.
Just hope I never have to go hungry again as I have many times in my life gone hungry to feed my kids found ways to feed them even if I had to go behind the stores and get food out of the dumpster!

That is very sad but killing yourself is not a solution. I guess, this time we need to educate people especially young teens who are getting married yet jobless. We cant solely blame our government for not responding on this issue. We have to start enculcating values to our kids and these kids will influence their friends.
A lot of this young couple cant get good job because they dont have that skills and education so this problem will always be a problem once we will continue to allow it to happen!

That is truly sad. Inflation is everywhere in Asia. It is the same here in our country and I've heard some incidents of people killing their own family because they do not have any source of income. But the answer to inflation is responsibility - you can make your life better than it originally was if you only try. There are so many things that can be done to alleviate the living conditions of individuals. The question is whether they are willing to do those things. Hope can only happen when you are alive.
