why do parents lie to their children sometimes

parents if you love your kid so much why do you lie to them some times.
i have seen alot of mothers and even fathers lying to their children.
when parents want to go out alone and their little child is crying that they want to follow them, these parents will tell them lots of sweet words that they will buy this and that for the child and the child will stop crying hoping to receive gift when parents come back from outing but funny enough this parents will return home without buying the gift. why is it so parents

It is called white lies.. we lie to our kids if there are things that they cannot comprehend because they are young enough to understand.. and hiding the truth sometimes is good because its either you dont want them to be a failure or they feel bad about something. Let them find the truth
