How Do You Determine The Best Place To Post Your Discussions?

Sometimes an idea or a question will pop in my head and hoping to receive enough response on such to be able have more opinion that will give me more insight into the matter, then comes the problem; where is the best place to post the discussion? So how do you determine the best place for your discussions?

i just post in the interest i think it would be appropriate, i just don't think how many responses will it bring. i know taht i am not going to get much responses. still i post in the appropriate interest i think.

Not sure what you mean by best place to post. Do you mean best time? I sometimes struggle with the best time of the day to post. I either post mid afternoon or in the evening when most of my friends list is likely to be on line. Other wise I have seen many many good discussions get lost in all the rubbish of discussions such as money making scams and what is your favorite color.
