Hi! you all, who are using fluorescent lights just like me;I have just read that, energy saver bulbs can trigger migraines, dizziness, loss of focous, and discomfort among those with epilepsy. It said that it may also trigger autoimmune disease.According to the British scientists, the fluorescent device produces a more intense light and thereby can aggrevate a range of existing problems.
I was not aware of such a thing, were you?
Which type of lighting would be safe for our house is a big question for me now.

I was going to start replacing some of my bulbs with fluorescent too until I heard this recently.
I may still end up doing some of them, but probably not right where the light will be close by, like my reading light, etc.
An overhead light in a large room where I'm doing other things, like the kitchen, might be ok.

Yes I knew that as I am a disability worker and that is one of the first things we learned at school. The only problem is with epilepcy if you or anyone at home does not have it than you should be ok. The problem with fluorescent lights are that they have gas in them and people without epilepcy dont notice but some people with epileply can see the lights and how the lights go on and off (this is fast) and that is where the propblem is. Also the huming of the light.
