How important is trust in your relationship? Are you still open to continuing the relationship once you uncover the deceit? Is apology a ticket to getting forgiveness from you?
What would you do / have done when you realized that the one you trust most has misused that trust?

Trust is paramount in any relationship be it personal or business related alike.
Without trust there is no foundation to build upon, without foundation that which was attempting to be built up will crumble to the ground.
While you may be able to co-exist in a relationship without trust - it is not a very deeply meaningful relationship - secularly speaking

very well said :D... I have witnessed and am part of situations where trust is missing. However, due to reasons we have to stick with it. It's not a perfect world out there; if not all of us would be God!...

I think trust means a lot in a relationship. Once the trust is gone, it's very hard to keep the relationship in tact.
However, I really think that it all depends on what the situation is. If my spouse cheated on me, I think that's something that I could never forgive and move on from. However, if it was something else, it all depends on the severity of the act.

We tend to be harsh on people who are most close to us. Definitely so as we place immense trust in them and that doesn't even need to be communicated.

Trust is 100% important. Without it, I don't think there is any foundation for a relationship at all. If someone abused my trust, that would be the end of it. I'm not a forgiving person and I don't tolerate lying, cheating, deceit or abuse.
