That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard! Where do people come up with this stuff. I used to wear pearl earings all the time when I was single and where I may have had some things happen that was not necessarily good, there was a lot of good that actually did happen to me as well. This is so false!

hey hey whats this commotion all about anyway my friend about the belief? well i guess it was not to good to be true but it was a belief what can i do. but did you believe that when you sing in front of the kitchen when your single was bad luck too? you might dont get married in some what am i right?

ohhh....I heared it differently in our town carinio! what I have learned is you will marry an older one when you will sing while cooking! hahhahah....I don't know exactly if its true but it has some coincedence though!

I heared that too and the first time I broke a mirror, I was sweating a lot and I was really counting when will be the year that bad luck will end, and I wanted to cry hard. I don't like to have bad luck, that's what my mind and heart is shouting those moments! Its very funny but its true. I prayed hard then try to convince myself like, it has no basis, do not believe on what you have heared! thoughs are fighting in my mind and luckily, I can't actually remember that there was an instance in my life or experiences I will consider as bad luck!

i think in different place there where twist of belief in some what... but some belief are internationally recognize like if you broke a mirror that 9 years bad luck. ehehehe

what??? never heard of this one...but yeah, it is ridiculous. i don't think we should believe in superstitious beliefs. it cramps our lives. we should just put our faith and trust in God and we will be safe. no sense believing in that stuff. no power on heaven or on earth is greater than the Lord.

Some people say that pearls are cold and if you wear pearls, you can cry....it is all very superstitious...
Pearls are very pretty, anyone can wear it, regardless marital status....

I agree and for some reason I do not really know where are all these stories started and how come it became a belief! No one gave me an explanation yet as I was inquiring this issue to all of my friends who shared this to me! Not even their grandpa/ma can tell , they were just advices, take it or leave it! hahahhaha.....

I was told by my friends about this when I was still single and those time I really tried not to wear..hahhaha..I was scared but when i start asking other married girls if they have tried wearing when they were still single , they said "yes". So, i started using since I really love pearl even if its fake you know! I can say, I didn't have the bad luck since I got a very loving partner! hahahah.! I just posted this to gather thoughts from people and to correct my friends that until now are not really wearing pearls!

its ok, just from a friend in our city! she got this from her mom who stop her when she tried to wear it b/c its like that and like these! She grew up in a place which is like 1 hour from a town in region 7!....in PI!

yea me too but I just can't convince some of my friends and cousins to enjoy life and never deprive themselves of enjoying something just because they are scared of all these beliefs.Anyway, I got all the proof now from all these married members who are telling me that they were using it when they will still single and now happily married, I will be forwarding this forum to my friends! so, they will start to go out from their shell! hahahhaha..Thanks rhane and have a great day!

I don't know this superstitious belief at all. I don't think wearing pearl earrings will give anybody bad luck. Unless they are robbed because of it.

hahhahah.....anyway, we are just looking really of a fashion one! I can't afford the real one , its just too way expensive and its amazing indeed. Since, the real one can be able to produce another one as time goes by, Its really amazing! In my case, I am only using the fake pearl and trying to collect different colors to match my blouses! So far, i got brown and blue! I just love pearl much more that if Its real...ohhhh...
