Can dogs have dandruff?

Today i gave bath to my dog, after that i drying him. I saw white powder type first i thought it may be somthing else. When i was playing with him i was rubbing near his neck, and what the white thing got on my hand, i got affraid, i have never seen this before
can any one please help me. what may be the cause? should i take him to the doctor?

It's probably just dry skin. It will eventually go away.

Don't worry! Most likely, it's just dry skin. My dog has it all the time, so I give him a teaspoon of olive oil twice a day on his food. What you can also do is give him a raw egg with his morning meal. If it just looks white and flaky, and he's not scratching at himself all the time, try the above for two weeks or so...it's really helped out my puppy, and it's what my vet told me to do. Plus, dogs love yummy olive oil or eggs! LOL

thank you quatelmon and luckycharm00812, you both gave me relief to me from my tension. thanks a lot, i will make sure that he wil get it. but i am giving him pedigree still its happning. i think i should change his food pattren.
