Well, my boyfriend plays video games a lot, in fact, I just got him a PS3 for Christmas, and HE LOVES IT! I was just wondering if anyone knows a legitimate program, where he can be a video game tester in order to earn some extra cash? He thought it would be really cool if he could be able to do this, but every program that I've found wants to charge anywhere from 50-150 dollars to start! We don't want to pay anything to start a program, because we're afraid it will be a scam.
Any advice as to where I can get some information on getting paid to test and play video games?

Go to G4's website. it is a t.v. channel. Just type in Video Game Tester for their search and you will see a video of a man who actually does it for a living. Also, go to the site of the video game manufacturer and see if there are any postings for video game testers. These are all legit. My Fiance is also looking for a video game testing job.

Thanks for that information! I see that you need some requirements like a degree to be able to be part of the developement team, but a video game tester is a good start. That'd be like the Sims games where you learn new skills, friends would be contacts and you go up the career ladder. Sorry couldn't resist lol.
I'm looking at the courses available at the local campus nearest me to see what's available.
