Has anyone had any dealing with a debt settlement company???

Oh,, I haven't. What is it like? I mean, my friend was one time being so grossly impatient and angry upon talking to a man from a credit company or some sort of a financial institution. She just vent that they were so mean and inhuman. I don't just have to tell my friend to calm down and check her emotions. After awhile of shouting and venting, she just said, I'll never go back to that company, I hate the service they gave me, I gave their money back and they need not harass me. Haha. Now, she makes it a point to pay ahead of time her indebtedness.

I've never used such a service before, but I've heard that even if you get your debt paid down, it doesn't look good on your credit record that you did use a service like that. I'm sure I've had one or two friends that did it and were sorry they had.

We're using a debt settlement company right now. We can't afford to pay our bills right now. At least this way, we're making an attempt to pay something on them, even if it's not the entire thing. Besides, once we're done, we're going to do everything we can to not going to debt again. Once these credit cards are paid for...the only debt we'll have is the usual stuff like utlities and student loans. I really hate student loans.
