Should the Federal Reserve/Government bailout?

Should they bail out the homeowners that are in foreclosure? Why should they be rewarded for being irresponsible, but then again what will it do to the economy if the Fed/Government sits back and does nothing?

I think the Fed/Gov should butt out. By allowing the Federal Reserve bail out anything we are allowing them to feed the problem. Smaller government is what we need, not more red tape.
