No way. I am in governance. what I studied and am doing now are totally unrelated. We need management, communication, financial literacy...but we were taught the other things. We were never taught what we need. Later in life we have to go after how to....in..a ..minute books to learn the survival techniques in the job.Its funny! Some times I wonder who is doing all this.

yes, and most of the time those "how to" books are much better and faster to learn from than taking an entire semester course...

I am so lucky that what I am doing now is exactly what I learned in university!
However, most of my friends do not work in the same field they studied in their colleges.
I think it's quite common that you job cannot match your education, since the competition is fiece nowadays, and sometimes, one can barely find a job to support his life, let alone to match what they learned in school!
Maybe the truth is sort of pethatic, but this is life!

I always wanted to work related to my course but when i move here in USA, its hard.have to get a license , need to enroll and all. So, I prefer working/accepting any job if given the chance then later on, maybe I can start looking for a job that suits my qualification!
