Landfills taking care of your waste

What are your opinions on landfills? I work at a landfill site and my job is to make sure we are compliant with relgualtions as set by the environmental agency. Sometimes when i come to work i am verbally assulted and i dont appreaciate this as i am always taking care of my sites and there are no problems. These people generate the waste and we take care of it . There has not been any reduction the amount of waste we accept since the green prject started, and yet yeterday the protesters barred us from entering our sites. Are you doing your bit for the environment and can i have your opinion on landfills?
