Have you ever clicked on the "Send" button sending an email to someone and immediately wished that you could click on "Escape" and take the email back? I did this morning and I feel like a worm. Someone ows me money, a LOT of money and I'm really in trouble financially. This "someone" is a very, very good friend of mine and I've been sticking it out for almost 8 months, not wanting to ask for it because he also needed it and at that stage I could help him. But the "loan" just escalated - a little bit here and a little bit there, and in the end... Well, no need so say anything further. They say Don't ever lend money to a friend. Well, I've realized that it's so true. Back to the "Escape" button... What is your experience - have you ever felt like this? Tell us about it.

Ya, i have felt like that several times. So the best thing is to not send the email when you are unsure of it. I hate asking for favours. Once i needed something badly. So i decided to ask a friend about it after a lot of thought. I sent him an email. About 2 hours later i found that the problem had been taken care of itself. So if i had waited i would not have sent the mail. So this is one of my experiences.

That's just my point. I typed the email the night before and left it until the next morning, and after a sleepless night (due to my own debt and uncertainty...), I was actually angry and sent the mail. And yes, I'm living with the result of my deed, because I haven't heard a word from my friend in a few days. And now I'm stressing, because I really value the friendship.

Yes. I sure have. I have received some rude emails from some so-called friends online. I responded back to them and told them just what I thought about them too. I wished that I hadn't said some of the things to them or gave them any kind of details either but it was too late. It started an email war. It eventually stopped though. I just kept deleting their replies and they stopped. I hope you get your money back!

Sometimes I think its much easier to put your mind and thoughts onto "paper", but its also easier to speak your mind via email or text messaging, which can be very dangerous. And to hit that button is so easy... I don't know whether I'm going to get my money, but at least I received an explanation for the first time. Thanks for your response, I appreciate it.
