just in the beginning of this week i joined Avon comunity. As i am mother at home i thought it would be nice to have some other income and at the same time it is fun and you can get cheap cosmetics and make up. But first days passed and i find it hard to find people to order as we just moved in to a new country i dont have many friends here. I started to put catalogues into mail boxes but people even wont leave them outside after few days for pick up, so i lost few catalogues already. Do you have any tips how can i find new ways of doing it? I am not a pushy person so i wont stand on the street and give away catalogues or so. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks for all replies.

Hey, my mum did Avon when we were younger. We used to go round with her and help her with her deliveries!!
Start of with your friends, family and neighbours. Maybe if you know any parents at your child's school, mention that you have just started Avon and see if they know if anyone would be interested.
I wouldnt suggest just posting the catalogues, when they do that to me I dont bother returning the catalogue as I didnt ask for it.
Word of mouth is the best thing, so mention to everyone that you are doing Avon, it will be slow to start of with but give it time, it might work out for you!!
Maybe the people who are ordering of you, ask them if they know any people who may want to look through the catologue!!
hope this helps.

A great way is to invest in some samples, I add 2 samples in a small bag (lipstick & cream) or whatever you want to sell, I tie it with curling ribbon, punch a hole in your business card I tie it to the ribbon & baggie. Take a few brochures and samples out with you. I usually go to local businesses that have women working there and ask if I can leave some samples. (I give a bag for each girl and only 1 brochure!) Then I tell them I will be back in 2 days to recycle the brochure. I NEVER ask for an order, I simply say I am here to pick up the brochures and ask if they enjoyed their samples & if anyone saw a product they's like to sample. 9 out of 10 times I get a few orders. Do this for about 2 months (4 campaigns). I guarentee you will build your customer and sale base quickly. I also leave expired brochures in a magnetic file holder on the back of my car with coupns attached to them. So when I shop anyone passing my car can get coupons, newsletter or a brochure. I have gotten a few customers this way but it's hard to follow up when you don't see them!
Good luck & welcome to the Avon Community. Don't give up, Plan you work, work your plan!
