We have conditioned to give away our power. Society has taught us to expect someone else to step in and solve our problems and ‘fix’ our lives. But it’s not going to happen!
You, and only you can change your life. The government can’t, your spouse can’t.
If you want a better life, the kind that you deserve, then you must take responsibility and make it your job to do whatever needs to be done.
When you become willing to accept responsibility for the conditions in your life, the good and the not so good, you gain the personal power necessary to change them.
Decide now to take to take responsibility and take charge of your own life.
The next step is to determine where you are and what you want to change.

I love your post! you are 100% right. it's your life and you must step in and start living your life. know that you have the power to start over every day. by doing one simple thing, changing your mind. knowing that changing your mind how you see things will begin to make things happen differently. thanks for writing such a great post and I hope you get many responses

you are so welcome. i just love to read post like yours. i think when people realize how powerful they are, then they will then see how easy it is to start over right now today. all with just the changing of your mind. When asking for help from God, live life with love, and knowing how to forgive. Wow, how wonderful the world would be

I don't want to change my life, my friend. I changed my path about four years ago, and I'm content that I made the right decision then, to change my life. Ok, I have my ups and downs just like everybody else, but I have learned how to deal with them, and move forward.
Your advice is good though... I didmake a decision as to where I want to go and how I want to make headway. There are still obstacles, like money, and laws, but none of them is unsurmountable. I just got through a 46 minute response to a discussion where a person has lost themselves, and is looking for advice. You're right... I can't fix it for them, but I can give them a little encouragement and a goal to aim for.
Brightest Blessings, my dear friend. x

Well my friend that is good news. Helping others is a gift that some posses due to the knowledge that they have acculated over thier lifetime. As you say you cannot fix it for them but you can show them the way for them to fix it themselves.
Blessings to you my friend, keep up the good work.

Very well said! I, like Lori, left a bad relationship; lucky for me I didn't wait 24 years...but when a person is ready, a person is ready.
I'm living MY life now how I want (well I'm being guided by Christ). I'm turning my dreams into reality, I have more self respect, I'm more confident.
I like...errr...I LOVE the new me!
