Have you HAD CHICKEN POX?
How was it?
I had my chicken pox when i was 1st year college... its the first time in my life. I just spend a week in my heavenly room... ahahah... i just ordered menu from calling the restaurant downstairs and they bring the food to my room. Its really a hard time for me since i could walk out, and showed my beautiful pox in my hands and feet. Anyway, i was really grateful, since there's no chicken pox in my face... its totally clean... ahahah... i'm happy...
My chicken pox was only for a week because i took the best medicine for it. My doctor gave me virlix, its quiet expensive medicine, but its really work!
Now, i have no scar in my hands and feet anymore... and very grateful... no scar in my face!!! yehhehehe....

I had the chicken pox when I was really young...like around 2 or 3 and then I gave it to my little brother. I still remember my mom rubbing this pink cream on my skin because it itched so much.

I had chicken pox when I was really little. My sister had it at the same time I did (she's 4 years older). She was covered in spots, and had a hard time with it, whereas I only had about seven spots, and I got over it right away.

hi manya_pearl!
why did you have to order your food from a restaurant? were you living alone when you had your chicken pox?
i had chicken pox when i was in my second year in high school. man! it was such a hassle! i was supposed to go on stage then for our Recognition rites and we had an intermission number to present. i can remember the first day i had it. i was feeling ill that day and i didn't know yet what was it. it was summer and cases of chicken pox were widespread. we were about to practice for our presentation but i wasn't able to participate because the chicken pox started coming out! and they were getting itchy and itchy by the minute! in the end, i ended up watching my classmates while they were practicing, while i was singing along with the music and holding my umbrella. (we had umbrellas as props) and the next day, i couldn't attend class and just like you, i was sick for a week and i missed the Recognition day. ..

According to my mom, I had chicken pox when I was a baby. She said I was lucky, I had to be taken to the hospital because my bumps were on the inside of my skin, and I was running a high fever. She told me a doctor told her to pray for the bumps to work it's way out or I could get a lot worse. Luckily, the bumps worked it's way out and then I looked like a normal kid with the pox.

I had chicken pox and measles all at the same time when I was around seven years old. I probably had mumps too as well, but I was in my room all the time with the blinds drawn, because it was very dangerous then. I got some scarring on my forehead even though my brother also got it and he had spots all over, but he got clear, but me? No way. I also had shingles a couple of years ago and it was very bad. You get that when you have chicken pox when young and it is usually when you are worried or under emotional stress.

I am easy to have chicken pox. I have it not only because of the cold weather, but also the tickle. If someone tickles my waist, arms or legs, then I will have chicken pox and it's quite funny

I had my chicken pox when I was around 40 years old. I thought I'd escape getting this, but I think I caught this after attending a crowded street party. The good thing for me was that my wife also caught it around the same time because we attended the same party. Initially, the company doctor gave me 1 week's rest at home with some medicine and calamine lotion for my itches. Despite that, the itches were quite bad especially the first few days. After a week, I went back to the doctor and he felt that I should be away from office another week. My wife's doctor also gave her two weeks medical leave. So we both ended up spending 2 weeks at home in quarantine. I must say it was a good break away from work. Our chicken pox wasn't that severe so it didn't leave any scars on us. About one and a half years ago, I had a short bout of shingles on my scalp as a consequence of my earlier chicken pox. I could feel my nerves were rather sensitive in the area where the shingles appeared, but the itches were definitely milder than during the time I had the chicken pox.

I had them when I was about 5. There was no medicine for it then. I remember taking baths with baking soda and sometimes with oatmeal, for the itching and to dry up the pox. I remember my Mom yelling at me not to scratch! lol The only place I had scars was on my stomach...which is probably where I scratched!

I had it twice, when I was 4 and 6. The one I had when I was 4 was EVERYWHERE and I still have scars on my chest and one next to my nose. It wasn't bad though. I thought it was actually kind of fun bc I got to stay home with my mom and do fun things. Then I had a lighter case when I was 6. The Dr's thought that was weird since I'd already had a bad case.
There's a vaccination for chicken pox now, but I really don't think it's necessary, As far as I know, it's not serious if you have it as a kid.

I had it when i was 12 and it was awful, all over my body. I think the only medicine i was given was camomile lotion. But i havent got scars because i remember trying not to scratch but i think my sister(9 at that time) who caught it off me has a few little pot holes.

i had it when i was 13 years old. i dont know what it was yet, only when my classmate told me that she thinks its chicken pox that i knew about it. i also the one who brought it to my family. just before the pox disappeared, my mom and dad realized that they also have it, then my sister and then my younger brother.
its good that i dont get keliods or scars coz i didnt have anything that would remind me of that experience. same thing with my family.

Yes I have had Chicken Pox in my childhood when i was studying in 5th class. Since we are homeopaths I had taken medicines for that. I didn't have any trouble just took rest at home without going to school. That's all. Another thing is that we use Neem leaves for scratching if there is itching. They will not leave scars. The skin will be clean.

I was 9 when I got the chicken pox 2 weeks before Christmas. Me and my sister had them at the same time. I remember hating it. Family came to our house for Christmas and I have pictures of me and my sister with our Christmas gifts and pink dots all over our face. We used calimine (don't think I spelled that right) for the itching. Back then there wasn't any medicine to take so we just had to wait it out. I remember having scars, but now at 31 I don't have any left.....thank goodness.
The ironic thing is just the other day I was talking to my grandmother about the chicken pox, I was telling her about my little ones getting a vaccination for it and she told me about her sister (my aunt) having them at a very young age and back then they had socks that they put on babies that were pinned to their panties and her mother put those socks on my aunt to keep her from scratching her face. Well my grandma said she was young and kept taking them off because her sister hated it so much........could you imagine? I just picture this poor little girl with socks pulled up her arms and pinned to her shirt and maybe the same type of socks on her legs.......that would be a funny picture, but heartbreaking at the same time.
I'm glad to here it all went well for you. Lucky for my kids they shouldn't have them since they were vaccinated, but you never know.
