ban on smoking in your home

what if the government told you if you had someone come to do work in your home that you were not allowed to smoke in your own home? what would you do? how would you respond? i received a response stating that in uk this is a law. what if they told americans the same thing? they already tells us what restaurants we can and cannot smoke in and many businesses as well so this is a possibility.. do you think people would?

It would be of no consequence to me as I do not smoke. I do believe that if people come to someone's home and either do not like smoking or they have a allergy to it the homeowner should practice courtesy and either do not do it at all or find another room opposite of the worker to smoke.
